Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 24 September 2026

Please read these Terms with your child. Curiously is a learning app for children. By using it, a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on behalf of the child using the app.

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Ferbotz ("we", "us") for the Curiously app and services (the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Who may use the Service

Curiously is designed for children. Because children generally cannot enter into contracts, a parent or legal guardian must read and accept these Terms and supervise the child's use. If you are a parent or guardian, you accept these Terms on behalf of your child and are responsible for their use of the Service.

3. What the Service is

Curiously provides a daily science concept to read, written for different age ranges, a short quiz at the end of each concept, and the ability to ask questions ("doubts") that are answered with the help of AI. The content is for education and general interest. It is not professional, medical, or safety advice, and is not a replacement for school, teachers, or a qualified professional.

4. AI-generated answers

Answers to questions are generated automatically by an AI service (Google Gemini). AI can be helpful but is not always accurate or complete and may occasionally produce content that is wrong or unexpected. Please use judgement and check important information with a trusted adult or a reliable source. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI answers.

5. Accounts

You can use the Service anonymously, or sign in with Google to save progress. Signing in is needed to buy a subscription. You are responsible for keeping any sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens through your account.

6. Licence to use the app

Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Curiously app for personal, non-commercial learning. You may not resell, sublicense, or otherwise exploit the Service except as these Terms allow.

7. Free trial and subscriptions

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, do not: use it for anything unlawful; upload content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes others' rights; attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service, or get around its limits; or use it to collect information about other people.

9. Content you submit

When a question, photo, or voice recording is submitted, you allow us and our service providers to process and store it as needed to operate the Service (including sending it to the AI service to generate an answer and showing it in the conversation history).

Photos of people. Photos should show the thing being asked about - a leaf, a rock, a diagram from homework. Do not photograph or record other people without their permission, and do not include anyone's face, name, address or other personal details. Please do not submit sensitive personal information of any kind.

The parent or guardian who accepted these Terms is responsible for the content submitted through the Service.

10. Our content and intellectual property

The Curiously app and its concept texts, quizzes, images, design, and branding are owned by Ferbotz or its licensors and are protected by law. You may use them only within the app, under the licence above. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the content without our permission.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties: Google (sign-in and AI answers), Google Play and Apple (app distribution and payments), and RevenueCat (subscription management). Your use of their services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content (including AI answers) will be accurate or complete.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ferbotz will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, the parent or guardian who accepted these Terms agrees to indemnify Ferbotz against claims and costs arising from a breach of these Terms, or from content submitted through the Service by them or by the child in their care.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or stop providing the Service, or restrict use that breaches these Terms, at any time. You may stop using the Service at any time and can ask us to delete your data or your account, as described on our Account Deletion page.

16. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be notified in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local laws (including consumer- and child-protection laws) provide otherwise.
